botanic gardens 15 jun

i cant even rem when's e last time i was there b4 tis. if not for this counselling grp (CG) outing i wldnt be there sia. oh btw tis is my last CG outing in PwC.

my CG strolling into e pavilion for briefing. we have a mission de, it's supposed to be a heritage walk thingy i tink.

e swan lake beside e pavilion. everybody was like 'where's e swan??' there, the 2 small dots at e middle right side of e photo~ haha~

twin power (twin colour somemore)! we both left PwC shortly after. in fact, i went while serving my notice. oops hehe~

n so our mission began, we'r supposed to take photos of e place to do a collage with a short writeup abt why botanic gardens shd be a world heritage site (duhz), n to write a meaningful n relevant poem (duh duhz).

but we took photos of ourselves in e meantime as well. okay mostly me. oh well. hahaha.

looks like a veri gd place to laze on, read a book, etc. singapore's central park! ya right~

alotta couples took their wedding photos in tat pavilion.

we saw alotta photo-taking bride n groom. aiya forgot to ask e bride to toss her bouquet to us. LOL~

tis sculpture is e highlight of our route, it's called The Passing Of Knowledge. we ended up writing e poem using tis sculpture as inspiration.

it's realli juz me n my twin's luck to kena e big shots in e team, cuz we ended up being e ones writing e poem n doing e collage. oh well, tats e corporate world.

we passed by tis place b4 we went back, i tot it'll be nice to climb up n take photos with a buncha gd frens.

after completing our route, we went to e food court (thank goodness for aircon!) to brainstorm on wat to write.

i came up with a poem within 10min, which i tot was pretty brilliant at tat pt in time. but when i compared it with my twin's, i tink mine sucks. so in e end we used my twin's poem. LOL~

but tat day apparently i was quite proud of my poem n doodle......... wahahaha.

it was overall quite fun to hang out with my twin lahz. too bad, no more CG outings for both of us. at least e last one was quite memorable~

only 3 person turned up in e end:

- me (21st president of e club on my 21st yr in life),

- ter (my left-hand aka sai-gang man who always has to bug ppl to go training)

- jielin (my adorably gong business manager).

how successful. hahahaha. but all along we'r e more gum ones among e committee lahz.

i tink i can include hoegarden into my alcohol-list, which currently only has my all-time fav apricot brandy in it. oh n the singapore sling from raffles hotel.

brussel sprouts @ robertson quay. love their food n ambience!

strategically situated beside e river, nice view wor. n u can people-watch out there. it's cooler than e seats inside as well.

oh but pls dont sit along e trajectory path of e water which may get to u frm e frolicsome swimming pool upstairs, we've witnessed how e customers n their food got wet. yep.

their clams are fantastic (dont order mussels, clams are much better)! there's a whole list of sauce tat u can choose to have ur clams be soaked in, pick e one with ham inside (there's only 1 with ham), e soup is so savoury, u can drink it on its own!

fries are done to perfection as well, not too soggy nor crunchy.

a kind angmoh offered to help us take a grp photo, angmohs are so nice hor. singaporeans wldnt care less. there's alot of angmohs at rob quay, btw.

anyways, do make a reservation b4 u go cuz it's always packed. (i donno why my photos' quality turned out so bad lehz, it wasnt so bad in my laptop)

wahahaha then i made jielin n ter do super touristy stuffs with me, like.......

intend to have desserts at canele, but they'r 20min to closing by e time we arrived (close at 11pm), so we juz lingered there to take photos. haha.

nice deco there, veri powerful aircon (a huge plus after perspiring plenty along e way).

so we ended up having desserts at laurent bernard chocolatier (closed at 1230am), managed to snatch e few air-conditioned seats available inside.

creme brulee is so-so nia, souffle might be better since it's sold out by e time we arrived. my hot hazelnut choc is diabetes-inducing, wont reco anyone to try.

jielin's choco roma is basically hot rum, prob more worth it than my drink ba. haha i insist e pretty white rose be in e photo.

it's nice catching up! we shd do tis often! hehe~
