arrowhead
woohoo im quite proud of this creation! copied it off somebody else's instagram page haha. my hand-drawn arrows turned out easier and straighter than i expected!
and as usual, left and right hand are different ahahaha. left cant draw as straight on right and also by the time i do my right hand its been 6hrs already. spent 3hrs tryin to do ombre nails but failed so decided to switch to arrowhead, which took another 3hrs =__= partly also cuz i need to wait for the normal purple polish to dry before applying the black gelish.
im seriously too free omg.

the return of the tart-only eater
i find the pineapple in pineapple tarts too sweet but yet i love the fragrant buttery taste of the tarts, so this is what always happens in the end....
wahahahahhaa. Mrs Chan finds this bad habit of mine very gross and annoying though. LOL.

大蛇年初一!
believe it or not, i specially dropped by Jurong Point on my way home with Mrs Chan, just to see how much of a ghost town it is!
JP at 3pm on a Sunday. lols. very ghost town. think the greatest shock was that Banquet is not opened. Banquet owned by Chinese boss?
Candy Crush inspired nails which took me 3.5hrs to complete omg. hahaha impressed by my usually limited creativity but lack the skills to execute it well boo.
Rats are supposed to have very good $$$ luck in the snake year, so when u have 4 Rats in the same room on 初一, this is what u definitely have to do....

FIFO for your wardrobe too?
part of the spring cleaning series of posts.
this is about half of my wardrobe:
on the left are all the casual clothes, on the right are all the clothes i wear to work. i have a system for wearing my clothes, they are worn on a FIFO basis. First In, First Out.
for new or just-washed clothes, i will separate into casual/work, and then slot them in the middle where the casual/work arrows touch. so all the new or just-worn clothes will be in the middle of the wardrobe, the "Last In" region.
if today i am going shopping with my friends, i will pick a casual outfit from the left-most of the wardrobe, the "First In" region. similarly, when i go to work tomorrow, i will "First Out" from the right-most of the wardrobe. hehe.
this ensures that i dont always wears the same clothes. but of course there will be some clothes that i dont really like and therefore get stuck at the "FO" area for awhile until they get thrown out. hahaha.
this is the other one-quarter of my wardrobe:
![]() |
| dont mind my old photo on the right, i use it to bi xie. LOL! |
purely work dresses. also on LIFO basis, new dresses go into the left-most, wear out from the right-most. hurhur.
if you count the number of hangers there and in the first picture, it's one hanger per clothing item, and you will be able to derive the number of clothes i own. ALOT. @__@
the remaining of my wardrobe is another shelf of shorts / denims / cardigans, and a few jackets and dinner dresses "deposited" into Fummie's wardrobe. lols. i need to stop buying clothes!! hahaha~

The Chan Family's ingenuity
i have been asked a couple times how i store my many many accessories, here's how....
i store my long necklaces! want to know where i got the hanger from??
Papa Chan went to buy a normal clothes hanger and normal clothes hooks, then painstakingly pasted the hooks onto the hanger by himself! in perfectly alternate colours somemore. hurhur so there's only one of that in the world, money cant buy! lols.
i marvelled at his ingenuity once i saw the resulting product. lols.
and this is how i....
store my long dangling earrings!
once again, its was Papa Chan who did it. he went to buy a cheap chain and drilled 2 holes on the inside of my wardrobe and installed the chain inside. impressed x2! hahaha~
got loadsa stud earrings and keep losing them cuz of improper storage?
try buying a pills case box with many many compartments! very cheap nia, easily available in Watsons, Chamelon, etc. this one is my idea! hmm okay then again, i think i saw it from some tv show.
alternatively you can buy a jewellery stand from ASOS or something. thats 12 pounds, mine's 5 sing dollars. ohohoho~
i went to alotta people's house and see how they store they accessories, still think i win hands down! muahahaha.

new toy!
look whose parcel was delivered to doorstep!
woohoo full set of Gelish! delivered within a week! highly recommend www.gelishsingapore.com, fantastic and speedy service!
all items arrived in good condition! $208 starter kit consisting of UV lamp, ph bond, foundation gel, top it off coat, blue cleanser, soak off, plus a free colour of my choice!
the only issue i have is that the bulbs in the UV lamp does not secure itself tightly enough, have to keep adjusting them so that they light up properly. but i bought the cheap lamp so no choice. would love to buy the original Harmony UV lamp, but that costs $500+ siao~
bought 5 other colours from Beauty Station on qoo10.sg, but only 4 arrived. i contacted Beauty Station multiple times about the missing bottle but it took them 2 weeks to get back to me. still have not received the last bottle yet. boo. hence would recommend www.gelishsingapore.com instead, but colours more expensive.
oh and also, i bought 2 Red Carpet gelish because i read online that it is the same manufacturer as Harmony, works the same, has the same colour, but cheaper (Harmony $19/bottle, Red Carpet $15). BUT who knows that the bottle is just half the size! and quality is not as good as Harmony too, cheated!!
anyways, got my Gelish toolbox ready! even went to cut up alu foils and cotton pads hoho~
tested on Mrs Chan aka my guinea pig, with reference to procedure steps from online haha.
this is the result!
the pink ones are actually normal Face Shop polish, was testing if sandwiching normal polish in between gel foundation and top coat works. does work, but it still chips faster than gel, and the normal polish must dry completely before sealing with gel top coat otherwise will smudge like the 3rd finger.
Zen is my real first customer! used Red Carpet High Bridge on her, its supposed to be pink but turned out reddish, and the colour was quite diluted. BOO, DONT BUY RED CARPET!
anyone interested to be my next few customers? nominal fee for express gel manicure! hehe~
