prelude to Korea 2013

coloured my hair ah-lian style on the 1st day of my compliance leave! in preparation of my birthday and Korea 2013!

not very obvious from the photos but there are 3 colours in my hair, purple/brown/red. wanted just 2 coloured but my stylist 心血来潮 and added a purple layer on the crown of my head. $200 for the colour + cut, another $90 for treatment.

actually i thought i will see alot of Koreans with same hair colouring as me, but no have leh hmmm.

Korea flag nails! haha lack of creativity so simply copied what i did for London 2012. totally hate the ring finger polka dots cuz they made my nails look like a cheapskate dice LOL so filed away the dots and it was just plain white.

the stack of KRW zen had to bring to Korea haha. mine was thinner because my money changer gave me alot of 50000 notes instead. $1.5k in cash and still not enough for me sigh.

found my lian beng heaven in Shanghai Dolly! lols requested to go there for my birthday since its a long-outstanding unfulfilled wish of mine hahaha.

okay but to be fair Super Junior also did this neon-lights dance thingy, in a muchhhhh cooler way of course

totally dig this place hahaha the performances were so entertaining! atas getai all year round lols. the performances and DJ-ing are at 45min intervals all night 9pm until 530am, when the noisy DJ music is up we went to the quieter pub upstairs with a 民歌餐厅 concept

with tables and no minimum spending, so we only ordered jugs.

great party! we should do this again hahaha *loves*

all hyped up over korea

i have seen celebrities get splashed with chilly waters in Korean variety shows

just for a piece of this Choco Pie

but never felt like trying it cuz i know its just going be too sweet for my liking.

however, when NTUC puts it in a wall together along with many other originating products and label the wall MADE IN KOREA...

i bought it. LOL.

true enough, bit too sweet for me, but quite good unlike the cheapos one during our childhood days.

its essentially just marshmallow flanked between 2 slices of soft biscuits. apparently called moon pie
in the States.

also bought this Home Run Ball at a Korean supermart after reading about it on
Seoulistic.com. not nice~ boo~

followed by sudden cravings for kimchi ramyeon + lotsa 大白菜 haha.

and 2 Korean 만두 (man du) dumplings! keke yumssss~~

i would recommend this yummier 만두 instead, but always cant find it in NTUC boo.

dropping pins all over Seoul on Google Maps.

downloaded the Jihachul app and Naver Maps app (which keeps crashing on me, i wonder whyyyyy).

googling for filming locations of popular kdramas to visit

trying very hard to cram as much Korean into my bimbo head as possible.

watching as much Kdramas as possible.

even took the leap and downloaded You Are The Best, Lee Soon Shin. leap because its an "auntie" drama and its 50 frigging epis! lols im only at epi3 now and i think its 2nd best to TWTWB out of the 5 kdramas above.

Kmovies too. btw Masquerade is really good and really pops nowadays. Han Hyo Joo is in 3 out of the 4 movie here omg.

trying too hard to buy clothes that will make me look like at least B-list celebrity. HAHA i didnt buy the pants in the end though, but lj bought the leopard prints.

sometimes i wonder why she fusses over me so much when her mum never ever fuss over her. eg. secretly bringing a cardigan for me in case i get cold, carry an extra bottle of water for me in her bag, cook rice for dinner instead because i had noodles for lunch, always preparing ai xin bfast for me cuz she knows i'll be lazy to go and buy etc etc~

maybe she wished her mum fusses over her this way so she fusses over me? hmm. nonetheless, thanks for fussing~~~~ *hearts*

in appreciation of all that, we did a mere celebratory pizza hut delivery dinner (dad paid 80% fummie paid 20% LOL) cuz we dont wanna go out and join the mother's day crowd haha. i bought cakes from Glace for her. hope omma had a happy day~~~ XXOO
