#Korea2013ootd in ascending order.

the walking neon

neon pink Aeropostale tee and white American Eagle shorts ensures that your tour guide will definitely be able to spot u in the crowd of tourists!

the lady in red

happy peach blazer on top of a red satin top with intricately sequinned collar, and a tangy strawberry soda in hand makes you totally want to STOP infront of her! LOLs okay yes very nonsensical~

holey moley

hi-low dress with cutouts at waist (only managed a peek of the cutout in this pic though), and that killer studded boots, both from F21. totally made me want to poke her in holes. HAHA.

the flying zebra

(sorry had to cut TLJ away cuz i cant find a solo shot of her) the comfy ensemble of cutesy zebra tank top with 3-quarts denim and Onizuka Tiger sneakers

made it so easy for her to Bolt like Usain! LOLs.

and the grand winner of #Korea2013ootd is......

The B-Lister

oversized lime top with leopard-preen skinnys, with the same studder killed boots, all from F21! absolutely worthy of a paparazzi shot! "New girl group Zzang leader TLJ out and about at the Museum on a Sunday"

wahahahaha. hope u enjoyed this issue of Qtyle~

pack the korean meat in, yo!

and so, on my 29th birthday, right after we landed in Seoul, we headed to Itaewon, walked through their streets, and finally decided on this:

how apt, but not intentional! LOLs.

it was on the 3rd floor of this building in one of the smaller lanes. once we walked in and saw how few diners they had on a public holiday evening 8pm, we thought "crap, food must be bad".

but oh my, we were so wrong! we ordered a set dinner for 2 and the starter was this mushroom and salad platter. the shrooms were grilled to perfection and the salad sauce was excellent!

what is a meatpacking restaurant without a meat platter? they specialise in steaks! uber yums! succulent and tender~~~ the splash (literally) of mashed potato beneath was splendid as well~~~

sorry mans, the photos of the food didnt turn out very well because it was too dark in the restaurant.

also ordered a carbonara and aglio olio (not photo-ed), we gobbled the aglio olio in a jiffy and this carbonara we cannot get enough of as well! just the right amount of cream so it wasnt too overwhelming~~

cant remember how much this meal costed, i believe should be about SGD30/pax.

we definitely enjoyed our first meal in Korea 2013! 잘먹었습니다~~~

do u know what Buddha's various handsigns mean?

haze fashion

read the first feature of this here. lols.

pump the gum up, yo!

if u remember my lovable Jeju driver, Mr Kim, he offered us gum during the day trip, and it was fascinating!

comes in a cylindrical container.

firstly, open the lid. the white circle thingy in the centre is what i lousily coined as the "gum platform" lols.

then pull the inner cylinder up. u can see that the gums look exactly like mentoes.

when u pulled the inner cyclinder up, u would have realised that there is a "gum pole" in the middle, and one lucky gum will always tend to be trapped on the pole. its akin to justin bieber being lifted on a rotary stage during his concert.

lower the inner cylinder down....

TADAH!! there u go, your gum on served on the gum platform!! DAMN COOL RIGHT??

lols after all the gums were being gobbled up, i even refilled the cylinder with mentoes and it works too! FASCINATING. in awe. lols. maybe i should suggest to import the non-gum version into Singapore and make big bucks on it!

bought this other Korean tidbit as well cuz the packaging looks cute, it says "Chicken Drumstick" on the box.

and the tidbit is really shaped like a drumstick! uber cute! tastes like chicken crackers with a bit of spiciness to it, quite yums to go with beer!

i also bought some fish sponge cake and chocolate rice cake tidbits from Korea, but PUMP is still the best! lols.

hallyu sites 2013!

rem the 2011 version? lols visited even more and newer sites this year!

Missing You - Yoon Eun Hye, Micky Park Yoo Chun, Yoo Seung Ho

this is the scene where YEH made MP wait by the road while she and YSH gloat from the Cloud Cafe above!

this is me at Cloud Cafe! actually there are 9 bridges along Hangang River, and there are alot of cafes like this beside each bridge. i chose this cuz of the drama and cuz its near to our previous stop at National Museum of Korea (featured laters).

hmm but honestly the cafe is abit cramped, view is soso cuz of the construction beside it, food is nothing to wow about as well.

while we are at Yoo Seung Ho, we visited this popular BBQ restaurant Mapo Sutbeul Galbi where the cast and crew of kdramas like to hold their 庆功宴.

true to their fame, food was awesome! love their samgyupsal fatty pork and beef stew. its opened almost 24hours and so we thought we will see some celebs when we visited at an ungodly hour of 11pm............. but we didnt. boo.

and there were alot of photos of celebs who visited the place - Yoo Seung Ho at the bottom. then to prove that i was at the same place that YSH was....

LOLs.

Running Man

there were afew places out of RM that we visited, first was epi7 at Sejong Centre of Performing Arts with CN Blue as guests:

sorry mans, this is the best i can find in Google Images without really going into the epi to grab screenshots. if it helps, those 3 korean words at the top left says "Run-Ning-Man" ahahahhaha.

the fateful afternoon when we walked damn far in the rain to grab this shot, thanks to my misjudgment (i thought it would be a short walk) lols.

then it was epi48 at National Museum of Korea where Song Ji Hyo did the epic move of putting the winning ticket in her shoe. again, best screenshot i can find, same 3 korean words top right. lols.

i actually quite enjoyed the free English tour here, and the view~

epi46 at Gwanghwamun with Sejong Statue and Admiral Yi Soon Shin Statue - same place as City Hunter below.

City Hunter - Lee Min Ho, Park Min Young

this is the "meet cute" scene, i think. can u see LMH with the red pants, PMY yellow dress, golden Sejong Statue at the far back, Admiral Yi Soon Shin Statue in between Sejong and LMH?

lols slightly closer up shot, if u cant see.

us in the rain of course not as chio as LMH and PMY hahahaha.

quite gross that lj had to bend down so much to match me and ting's height bahhhh.

A Gentleman's Dignity - Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ha Neul

the famous Mango Six that appeared endlessly in the drama. ahh super love the balcony scenes~~

us at the balcony hahaha. longggg walk to this place thanks to my misjudgment, AGAIN! LOLs sorrie gals~~~

actually when we were there, we thought the balcony didnt really look like the balcony in the show, then i came back and found the screenshot, confirmed same balcony lols. the balcony is actually elevated, guess that wont be evident in the drama.

at the seats that JDG always hangs with his buddies. SGD7 for that mango juice, yummy but expensive.

totally dont remember this scene! but we actually stood at the exact spot for couple minutes waiting for lj to come out of the washroom!

the door behind them, is that door!

this is also the place that we met these 3 people who we were convinced are celebrities....

but we simply cannot recognise who!! anyone knows??? last 2 guys are very good-looking!

Boys Over Flowers - Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Koo Hye San, Lee Min Jung

this is the place in Jeju where KHJ asked KHS to ruin the engagement of LMH and LMJ.

actually this place is now an expensive restaurant, not really opened to fangirls, but i just thick-skinned walked in and told them i wanna take photos. hurhur.

too bad, never see KHJ there lols.

to be fair, we took photos quietly and tried not to disturb their diners hor. otherwise i would have gone to the exact same spot that KHJ was at.

Jewel In The Palace - Lee Yeong Ae

honestly i watched this drama for like 5min and couldnt bring myself to finish it, so i totally cannot relate to any scenes.

Oedolgae stone that is famous here. imo just looks like the stone at the BOF place above, but according to Mr Kim, this stone is most famous cuz "it is most beautiful".

Psy

he is shorter than i thought. LOLOLOLs.
