Papa Chan vs The Lotus

bought this mini DIY paint by numbers thingy on qoo10.sg for my dad....

he chose #61 because Uncle Chan has a super soft spot for lotus haha.

i disguised this as a Father's Day gift wahaha, plus a movie and char kway teow treat.

so that was how it arrived in: mini canvas with the numbered outlines, numbered oil paint, brush and mini easel

really idiot-proof lah, just need to paint according to the colours.

this stayed pristine on his table for a month before one fateful Sat he decided to get his royal ass moving and finally got it done hahahaha.

and u know for Papa Chan to do a task, he must have all the good tools ready. so he went to buy a set of premium paint brushes $8 (when the whole set of DIY painting only costs $5). and i think he bought the fancy palette and an Ikea cup for soaking the brushes in. SERIOUSLY OVER! lols.

the painting is just an iPad Mini size, mind you.

TADAH! after one whole Saturday night of crouching over it! actually i thought the final product looks quite good but Papa Chan wasnt happy with it, cuz the paint wasnt thick enough. i told him to paint a 2nd layer on the whole thing and he flipped. HAHA.

i bought my own too! much bigger than lotus. already spent 20hours on it and still not even halfway done goshhhhh~ will post when finished!

after reading just Page 1 on the definition of "Bitch"... OMG TOTALLY TALKING ABOUT ME!! HAHA.

i told my bff at work to go read it, but she said "no need, i just need one mentoring session from you over lunch".

shit. completely forgotten. no wonder people say time can dilute everything (literal translation lol).

nothing has changed though, im still working at that sinking ship and yeye is still in heaven. sigh~

2 hours! tried to stick a bling at the tip of the triangle, but ended up looking quite bollywood haha so gave up~

felt super out-of-place @ Osteria Mozza MBS.

menu is also very out-of-place with a heartlander - cant understand half of the words, we were frantically googling for meaning of the alien words hahahaha  =____=

poor us ordered half sizes pasta only, i believe the top picture is Linguine (last in the menu) and bottom picture is...... really no idea! HAHA. food is good but i wont go back again because cheapo me dont feel comfortable there haaaaaa.

Friends Cafe @ Ikea Alexandra - food enough to feed an army (of 5 pax)! lols~

sinful but oh-so-good-and-cheap nasi lemak @ Adam Road Food Centre after a hike, all efforts to burn calories came to nought  =__=

spicy rice cakes @ Bibigo MBFC - love how its a little fried so its crispy, plus there's sweet potato + gingko!

Moon recommended The Rotisserie @ MBFC Tower 3 and told me not to order the fries cuz they will be too overwhelming, so i chose the veggies instead.

TOTAL MISTAKE, cauliflower salad is uber EUGHHHHHHH!! would very much prefer the spiced fries!
