1st meal in taipei

chicken cutlet rice at some ulu place near our hotel. nth's particularly delicious, except for e lu rou rice. been in love with 鲁肉饭 ever since!

complimentary breakfast at royal castle hotel

sucks too. there's oni toast n porridge lorz. pathetic~

alotta such 早餐店 in taipei. tats 肉松蛋饼 n soya bean milk btw, i reckon e burgers r tastier tho.

had those for bfast e following days. pity we din manage to find 永和豆浆.

tie mu zhen mongolian bbq 铁木真蒙古烤肉

e lunch tats included in our one-day packaged tour. sth like bbq buffet cum steamboat lidat de. u pick ur own raw ingredients n pass to e chefs who'll stir fry em for u, a la mongolian style.

love e pork floss sushi n 鲁肉饭 there! yummyyyyyyy!~

food @ jioufen 九份

myriad of food there! there's bbq mushrooms, sotong balls with chilli powder, grilled cuttlefish, grilled potato chips, etc etc.

jioufen is famous for their 芋圆冰, some iced rubbery tapioca thingy. tink our ice kacang is nicer.

shihlin night market 士林夜市

tis place is like our hawker centre, a congregation of food stalls. DELICACIES GALORE!!!!~

of cuz muz queue up for e very much acclaimed shihlin chicken cutlet 士林炸鸡排 1st! muz recognise e blue 豪大大 signboard!!~

OMG it's SO GOOD, we patronised it 3 times during our stay there!! wayyyyyy better than those we have in sg!!~

despite numerous frens telling me tat e taiwanese oyster omelette 蚵仔煎 is far inferior to singapore's, we still tried it out.... n arrived at e same conclusion. LoL~

big biscuit wrap small biscuit 大饼包小饼, essentially juz rock-hard peanut puff wrapped w popiah skin. nth special.

wat does tis 大肠包小肠 look like to u??? (i tink tis is e part where ting's bf bursts out laughing again) wahahahahaha~

it's tw sausage wrapped with glutinuous rice lahz.

e 'coffin' food 棺材板. fried bread hollowed in e centre n stuffed with some mayo chicken pieces. i love it!

rong had such a cute expression. reckon she din share my love for tis dish since there's mayo. she has a formidable taste for food btw. hehe~

oooohhhhhhh mango ice 芒果冰!! succulent mango, amazingly fine ice, plus e sweet syrup~~~ HEAVENLY!!~

kopi in taiwan

no kopi xiu dai there, sorry~ hehehe~

qian n her daily dose of caffeine. Mr Brown Coffee, a brand of coffee chains similar to starbucks. store is exquisitely decorated, n they even indicate e level of caffeine in each drink!

Sparta Coffee, with cosy deco. tats after crazy shopping at wu fen pu. we played bridge there while waiting for e rain to stop. told u we'r hardcore bridge addicts. haha~

food in e sogo area

e door of tw ding tai fung looks exactly like e door of sg ding tai fung lorz.

our dearest meal in tw, taste e same as in sg lorz. whoever adamantly said ding tai fung in tw is much better than tat in sg ought 2b wholesomely spanked! bleahz~

we found bee cheng hiang in e sogo area!! found another one opp national tw uni too. n their bak kwa tastes identical to sg's lorz, talking abt consistency eh.

food @ ximending

n tat muz be 阿宗面线! they have branches all over taipei, but i believe their flagship store is tis one in ximending.

u hafta stand n eat cuz there'r no chairs, n they gave oni spoons for u to scoop up e impossibly massive n long mee.

so renowned for gawd-noes-wat reason lorz, i dont like. there's no liao inside, beside e crappy chicken skin thingy n some mysterious veggie.

devoured our last meal in taiwan here. right outside ximending mrt station exit 6, on our way to hotel. excellent memory! hehe~

tamago-ya 蛋蛋屋 specialises in omelette rice, heart their beef hamburger omelette rice e most!

beverages in tw

le tea! muz be earning alot, cuz it perpetually gets e most popular celebrities to endorse for em. not bad, fruit tea lorz.

e tour guide reco us to bitter gourd juice 苦瓜汁 at shihlin, said it's v cooling in e wake of e summer heat. initial sweetness, but bitter aftertaste. not to my liking.

seafood at su-ao 苏澳

stan claimed it's tw traditional to treat their guests to a meal. but tis meal is kinda expensive for a zo boh-ing fresh graduate lorz. kinda paisey. 谢啦，朋友!~

i have nv seen such huge kang kong in my life, fyi.

stan ordered all e fish lorz. heng they'r all v delicious....

esp tis! fried 水晶鱼! dip it into some pepper powder to make it e best fish i've ever tasted! *slurpp*

luo dong night market 罗东夜市, yi lan 宜兰

we had dinner here on e day stan drove us to yi lan lorz. tats when taiwanese night markets start to look e same to me. haha~

aiyo tis beef noodles 牛肉面... FANTASTIC! so delectable, e bowl is licked clean! haha~

food @ wu fen pu

their version of chicken rice definitely lose out to ours. cfm guarantee chop. haha~

i ordered 鲁肉饭 again, but tis one is not nice. juz try not to eat in wu fen pu, food kinda sucks.

cold stone creamery @ new york new york

i screamed in hyper-elation once lulu told me there's cold stone creamery in tw too! look n taste e same as e one in new york!!~

but i ordered e wrong thing lahz, turned out 2b simply cookies n cream. bah~

tats all for food. realised we nv tried alotta food in taiwan. stimes their food realli looks unhygienic lahz, but still love most of their food nonetheless! hee~
