step 1: place car in e centre of e lane

step 2: reverse till pole #1 is aligned with e 'B' sticker on e rear windscreen

step 3: cont to reverse n simultaneously turn steering 1 round to e left

step 4: turn steering 1 round to e right once pole #4 is aligned with e right-back door handle

step 5: cont to reverse in a straight line till pole #1 is aligned with e left front wiper

tadah! tats e 'protocol' to e 1st half of parallel parking.

i tink tis is e 1st time in 10 lessons tat my v patient n popular driving instructor is happy with my performance. wahahaha~
