(overdue post)
see how quaint tis shop @ plaza sing level 3 is~
looks like an antique furniture shop right??
but it's actually a cafe!!
it's like a taitai-ish high tea place. with pretty furniture/utensils n food served prettily.
they even have an exquisite $200 bell for u to ring for service! everything there is for sale, u can sweep e lovely items off to ur hse if u like, but they will cost u quite abit (e bench we sat on costs $3k).
tats wat i mean by pretty utensils: my cute cuppa rose tea, with not much rose taste tho.
i ordered prawn aglio olio pasta, v nice. or mayb tats cuz i was real hungry at tat time. haha~
ting's latte and duck meat paste, which is tasty too. e duck meat pasta was special, not e usual oh-so-boring kinda pasta flavour.
e early birdies auditoresses. we 3 sat on one side of e table, while waiting for e other 2 to fill up e opposite side of e table. n we bluffed e waiter say we'r speed-dating, he actually believed us! LOL~
e late-birdies. one's late cuz of overnite gaming, e other's late cuz of tuition. oh well~here comes wat i tink shd be e highlight of e cafe....
high tea desserts!tats 3 tiny pieces of scones in antiquated china. not yummy.
assorted choc cakes on eye-pleasing-but-impractical set up. not yummy too, i can name so many other places tat serves much better choc cakes.
choc brownie topped with vanilla ice cream. appears real appetising, but i tink e oni appetite-satisfying abt tis dish is e nuts. -_-
so overall, their desserts are not up to expectations. conclusion is tat tea cosy is oni gd for their pasta, which is an irony cuz it's supposed 2b a high tea place. haha~
but e auditoresses enjoyed e taitai-ish chit chat! hehe~
