it's brownie baking day!

lulu suggested we bake brownies in her love nest while sissy n me sought refuge from e gooey love day.

we met up at Jurong Point's Fairprice Xtra to shop for ingredients: self-raising flour, caster sugar, dark chocolate, white chocolate, walnuts, plus brownie recipe book frm library. hehe~

sissy was in charge of turning e dark choc chips into liquid oozy chocolate, after lulu added in sliced butter.

(it is only after we baked brownies on our own tat we realised brownies are SUPER sinful, lol~)

Mrs Chen wld tear if she saw her son standing by e stove n actually cooking sth edible. LOL~

i was in charge of putting eggs, sugar n sieved flour tog into e mixer.

hmm but e mixer failed to rotate along with e beater. zim aka technician of e day managed to fix it.

tadah! rotate rotate rotate, mix mix mix, beat beat beat!

when e batter's almost done, add maple syrup! i din noe there's maple syrup in brownies.

n yes, i happen to have e same pose. hahaha~

add melted oozy choc into e batter.

n mix till it looks absolutely yummy!

pour completed mixture into baking tin.

tats lulu's cousin btw, they gatecrashed our baking lesson. haha~

chop white choc into fine bits. lu's like e official chopper of e day. hehe~

sprinkle white choc bits on top of e brownie mixture.

then slip e tin into e oven!

e whole 'manufacturing' process was pretty simple, actually. to tink cafes charge such exorbitant fees for a piece of brownie when it was so ez to produce.

while waiting for it to bake, we played Guitar Heroes on PS3. lulu's housewarming gift frm her other friends (we still havent bot her a housewarming gift, oops hehe).

excellent game idea, too bad me n sissy have zero musical talent. LOL~

after 35min, e brownie is ready! charred at e top (due to e white choc bits which were totally redundant), but inside was absolutely fine~~

had dinner b4 savouring our hard-worked brownie as dessert. veri cosy dinner even tho food was dabao-ed. hehe~

we were damn seduced by e great smells wafting thru frm e kitchen while e brownie was baking!

e brownie was purrfectly yummilicious! veri gd turnout given tat it was our 1st attempt.

i love our brownie! let's bake more yummy food! hehe~
