arty farty nyc‏

.
Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art MOMA, we went in for free! Target free friday nights 4-7pm! queue stretched all the around the block, but tickets were given out fast so still alright. heng we din arrive too early else gotta queue in e cold.

the 1st piece that welcomed us at the crowded MOMA was this art installation, 2 strips of tape were juz levitating in the air with the help of 2 huge fans. intriguing~~

1st famous painting we saw! The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh.

the people in MOMA do look kinda artsy, they seem to stare v long at the paintings to intepret it, alotta photo-taking of the painting only. but who knows ay? hurhur.

see, very crowded inside hor?

im surprised photos are allowed in MOMA, does that mean that these are not original paintings.

one of the many naked lady paintings there

another famous painting, The Japanese Footbridge by Claude Monet. hahaha i think we look quite cok taking picture with the painting.

still Monet, Water Lilies. Monet is famous for painting scenery, and his inspiration is always his own garden, or some random garden. dont quote me on that tho. lols.

okay i dont know anything about this painting, i juz like the calla lillies lols.

The Eye! i like it, somehow.

Mr Lionel Heng feeling flabbergasted that this piece is considered art worthy of being exhibited. LOLs.

this is even better! at 1st glance it's juz a totally black painting, but it's supposed to have 3 different shades of black!

sooooo many people were staring at it to spot the 3 shades. i saw it after like 3min, interesting but yet cant help exclaiming "WTF??" fwahahahaha.

pop art section. i love america!!

these Campbells are all of different flavours!

Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe and Double Elvis. but seriously it's like not exactly painting. i likey though, imma pop bimbo! hurhur.

photography section! im trying to look at the centre smoking lady like the rest in the photo lols.

juz a collage of different facial features? look closely!!!
i didnt realise the n*pples and pen*ses at 1st, until Mr Heng enlightened me. fwahh will my blog kena banned cuz of that?? hurhur.

looks like some geometrical wallpaper nia hor??

it's actually made up of many many asses!! who else but Mr Heng to point that out to me, once again. so disappointed in myself for not realising!! ahahahhaa.

we thought there will be some interesting art sculptures at MOMA, but actually not much. maybe another museum.

i downloaded this MOMA iphone app before going nyc, had alotta useful info about the paintings. but i didnt wanna use overseas data roaming, so in the end was still pretty clueless in MOMA. duhhhhhhh.

we had an eye-opening evening at MOMA! (actually it's only 5pm in NYC when we took the photo, but sun sets at 4pm during autumn.)

波士顿龙虾大过化学博士‏

.

wahahahahas. okay not realli. but the lobster was HUGE! and everyone in the restaurant was eating one!

imagine plates and plates like those kept coming outta the kitchen?? n it's yummy! veri sweet and fleshy. awwwww~
.
not veriii expensive lah, we had a lobster each, a soup and afew other dishes as well, usd30+/pax i think. *slurps*

the rest of boston was soso, honestly. maybe the problem lies with the uber T tour we took, we were surrounded by TTs lor! wtf they are everywhere!! just look at how uber T the lobster restaurant was!! -__-

the only 2 places i like during the 2d1n tour usd108/pax was the Mystic Olde Village for its quaint shop houses. no idea why it looked like a foreboding town with the massive dark clouds in the photo haha.

we had pizza lunch there and a cuppa latte at the cute cafe. hehe.

Mystic Olde Village aint even in our itinerary, we went there cuz we didnt wanna pay extra to get into Mystic Aquarium.

which is probably just like Underwater World in Sentosa.

the other place i like was Quincy Market, popular tourist spot flooded with TTs, once again. bleahz.

TTs aside, it's simply a foodcourt with 2 rows of stalls selling food. the clam chowder was damn delicious lah!

outside quincy market, retail shops lor. there's Abercrombie, Aeropostale, blahblah. the usual.

there was a queue of ppl outside this building, swearing to be an american citizen! cools. saw mainly middle eastern ppl tho.

other places we visited: Yale University

hmm which was nothing much, really. we only went to the old campus area. but that is one pretty picture. ahahahaha.

smart kids.
.
looking at these photos now, autumn seems like a really good season to go USA, photos are all very beautiful with all the yellowing trees.

oh but the TT tour guide said it's gd luck to touch the university founder's right shoe. more important for Beefie The Academican to do that rather than me ba.

Harvard University, which kinda resembled Yale.

smart kids again.
.
actually given Lulu's description of the standard in her college (which she quit cuz it's too lousy), sounds like it MAY not very hard to get into Ivy League colleges. MAY.

there's a small Harvard Town outside, thriving with businesses from the university. i went to the Harvard Clothing Store and bought a Harvard tee USD20. hurhur.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology!

surprisingly small building leh, not sure if it's much bigger than the area i visited.

ehs actually i didnt see much heiheis there leh, i tot they flood MIT? still generally angmohs wors.

MIT's feel was quite different from the other 2 old big names, it seemed more like the casual and normal college. i was surprised tourists can juz walk abt freely in the school and take retarded photos lols.

Holy Trinity Church at Boston City.

tour guide didnt tell us any shit abt this church, i had to google on my own. ermz okay i googled and it seems like there's nothing in particular about this church too. hahahaha.

can u spot me?? lols in between the columns!

John Hancock Building beside the church, famous for it's architectural design.
.
tats all in Boston! prob wont ever go back there again! haha.

so this is what it's like to be a star

.
it started with arriving at Incheon Airport with a whole entourage of people like agents/assistants/bodyguards/whatnots....

then the entourage realised that everyone was photographing the hottest Hallyu star and hence started to drift out of his radius (notice less people around him)....

until the superstar does the walk of fame alone with nobody....

lols u should watch the video, it's quite amusing how the entourage dispersed at amazing speed. hurhur.

the actor of Secret Garden fame being very affable and smiling to those who were crazily snapping photos of him.

even stop to pose for photograph. haha so awkward having a circle of crowd around u snapping away, but he seemed at ease. i swear if im there i'll get my sidekick to take photo and i'll just ogle maxxxxxxx. LOLs.

*waves back* still snapping. seriously, how many guys in Singapore can pull off jeans like that~~~~

immediately the media went to research and published how much each item on him costs.

i used my uber limited korean to guess that his jeans was from Diesel, but that price tag (SGD 800+) seemed too much for Diesel also leh. hmmm.
.
UPDATE: that's Dsquared jeans lah, that explained the price.

MAIN PT OF THIS POST: this is the kinda megastar treatment i'll receive very very soon, when i get spotted to be the next hottest Hallyu star next month....

AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. LOLOLOLOLOL. i buey tahans myself sometimes. DREAM HIGH!

fwahahaha yes and i kinda joined Hyun Bin's fan club on fb. stop rolling your eyes, you imbeciles! ahahahaha.

tat reminded me of something hilarious tat Fussie said today. i was gushing about many other male korean stars to her, and she said "wake up your idea, we only have ONE true love - JANG. GEUN. SUK." something along that line. LOLs.

dont worry Fussie, i have alotta love to go around!! wahahahahaha.
.
