Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art MOMA, we went in for free! Target free friday nights 4-7pm! queue stretched all the around the block, but tickets were given out fast so still alright. heng we din arrive too early else gotta queue in e cold.

the 1st piece that welcomed us at the crowded MOMA was this art installation, 2 strips of tape were juz levitating in the air with the help of 2 huge fans. intriguing~~

1st famous painting we saw! The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh.
the people in MOMA do look kinda artsy, they seem to stare v long at the paintings to intepret it, alotta photo-taking of the painting only. but who knows ay? hurhur.

see, very crowded inside hor?
im surprised photos are allowed in MOMA, does that mean that these are not original paintings.

one of the many naked lady paintings there

another famous painting, The Japanese Footbridge by Claude Monet. hahaha i think we look quite cok taking picture with the painting.

still Monet, Water Lilies. Monet is famous for painting scenery, and his inspiration is always his own garden, or some random garden. dont quote me on that tho. lols.

okay i dont know anything about this painting, i juz like the calla lillies lols.

The Eye! i like it, somehow.

Mr Lionel Heng feeling flabbergasted that this piece is considered art worthy of being exhibited. LOLs.

this is even better! at 1st glance it's juz a totally black painting, but it's supposed to have 3 different shades of black!
sooooo many people were staring at it to spot the 3 shades. i saw it after like 3min, interesting but yet cant help exclaiming "WTF??" fwahahahaha.

pop art section. i love america!!

these Campbells are all of different flavours!

Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe and Double Elvis. but seriously it's like not exactly painting. i likey though, imma pop bimbo! hurhur.

photography section! im trying to look at the centre smoking lady like the rest in the photo lols.

i didnt realise the n*pples and pen*ses at 1st, until Mr Heng enlightened me. fwahh will my blog kena banned cuz of that?? hurhur.

looks like some geometrical wallpaper nia hor??

it's actually made up of many many asses!! who else but Mr Heng to point that out to me, once again. so disappointed in myself for not realising!! ahahahhaa.

we thought there will be some interesting art sculptures at MOMA, but actually not much. maybe another museum.
i downloaded this MOMA iphone app before going nyc, had alotta useful info about the paintings. but i didnt wanna use overseas data roaming, so in the end was still pretty clueless in MOMA. duhhhhhhh.

we had an eye-opening evening at MOMA! (actually it's only 5pm in NYC when we took the photo, but sun sets at 4pm during autumn.)
