After seeing it on so many bloggers' instagram, finally get to go there!

They dont accept reservations so I left my number there and went to eat frog leg porridge first HAHA.

Waited an hour before they finally called me re an available table, but the table was right next to the opened door so it was literally a HOT seat!

I like that there are only 3 items on the menu, all same price, very ZEN! Haha.

Since we already shared one frog leg porridge before this, we only ordered 1 grilled lobster to share!

According to my ZEN dinner date, this looked and tasted exactly like Burgers & Lobsters in London.

I dont know, its just very yummy to me!

Lobster paired with a sweet Riesling makes me a happy girl on a Friday! Wanna go back and try the lobster roll next!!

Brunch at Epicurious was good! Love the french toast coated with cereals, but too much for me, thats why I have my wedge sneakers sister to share with me! *hearts*

I wanted pink hair but not too in-the-face, so stylist suggested doing this! Not pink enough though, maybe bleach one more time the next round. Thinking of moving on to blue and purple next too! HEE.

I really did not slim down

So in Sep I finally met lj for lunch and she accused me of getting too skinny. I was like, no, i did not shed any kilos at all despite my efforts to do so.

Then i sent her this: right photo took place Sep14, left Jul14. I see no diff =__=

Then she sent me this back....

Saying i slimmed down at the arrowed areas. I STILL SEE NO DIFF!! Totally tickled by her arrows tho ahahahaha.

Okay but by Nov I did slim down like... 1kg? hahaha.

The little flower shop at the corner of Lau Pa Sat

Moon brought me there for tea after lunch months ago.

Nice quaint little place right outside Lau Pa Sat.

Very pretty deco, with florist behind.

Problem is, the place serves just tea and macarons and they both taste decent. not wow, just decent. Yet there is not much of a sitting area for the CBD lunch crowd to come in la teh jiak macarons. And the florist is right at the back, if u dont go into the cafe u wont even know there is a florist behind.

I like it, but i wont go back again, and i can only wish this place all the best...

Japan beauty stuffs

And so glad i bought a ton cuz for the exact same items, Japan is just half the price!!

One more: Hakuhodo goat hair blush brush i paid $50 in Takashimaya Osaka, the newly opened Hakuhodo counter in Takashimaya Orchard is selling at $100! OMG we really are the most expensive country in the world!!

Applies to Jap brands only though, i bought one Maybelline lipstick and its couple cents more expensive than Singapore...

I am actually thrifty

The reason i started doing my own nails is because i find going to a nail salon regularly is very expensive. And then it just snowballed from there.

One day, i was surfing instagram and saw this:

Suddenly remembered how much it costs to do some simple nail art outside, and then developed this urge to find out if i really saved by doing my own gel manicures.

These are all the manicures ive done for myself since i bought the gel polish set, there are some ugly diy manicures but i shall let them pass hahaha.

14 manicures total. Lets use conservative price of $60.

14 x $60 = $840 is how much it will cost me to go to a pro manicurist.

Moving on to costs, my 1st gel starter kit is $208.

My 2nd new and improved gel LED lamp is $188.

Not to forget my gel polishes.

16 bottles bought in Singapore at average of $18, 3 bottles bought from Taobao at the price of just 1 in Singapore. $18 x 17 = $306

Total Costs = $208 + $188 + $306 = $702

I still save $840 - $702 = $138 !!

Now i feel so much less guilty when splurging on nail stuffs HAHA.

Taobao-ed!

My first Taobao purchase is via www.65daigou.com which consolidated my 3 Taobao orders from 3 different sellers into one 420g parcel and ship to Singapore at S$4.70 by sea.

Then i self collected at MRT, otherwise another S$5 to deliver to doorstep. Total for my 3 orders is about S$11.25, they charged me $1.30 agent fee.

But the parcel was done up nicely and apparently they do check if the Taobao seller sent the right product with no defects. The people at 65daigou are so organised, they found my package immediately and told me to sign on their tablet.

No prizes for guessing what I bought! haha 3 gel polishes for the price of 1 in Singapore! Will be even cheaper if exclude the markup (international shipping + daigou agent fee), things in Singapore are really vvv expensive tsk.

Even though tiong brand, but guess they cant be that bad given they get thousands of orders, per month!

Tested them immediately haha cant wait. So far so good, but can only really tell after i applied them to my own nails.

65daigou seems to have lowered their shipping prices starting 10Sep, can buy more! HEE
