Dad's Birthday in Seoul

We went to this modern Korean restaurant which literally translates to Kkot Dam House (kkot = flowers, dam = wall).

Dad loves the place, walked around admiring the art pieces on the wall and the garden.

Its a x-course (I cant remember how many courses) meal at KRW35,000/pax (~SGD42/pax).

Starters: Korean salad and hot porridge. Mum Dad didnt like the porridge cuz it "tastes weird", I didnt like it cuz its bland.

Acorn jelly was very refreshing and light, very interesting dish since we dont have acorn jelly in Singapore. Smoked salmon was okay, but personally I prefer traditional salmon sashimi.

Fried acorn pancake thats crispy and yum, and some preserved veggie korean style that I dont like.

Main dish #1: Beef hamburger which really tastes soso only.

Main dish #2: Chilli prawns for non-beef eaters, I think Singapore style chilli prawns are way better.

Mushroom dumplings, too mushroomy.

Assorted korean pancakes, from left: Rice cake pancake, kimchi pancake, fried zucchini, fried fish. I like left 2 most.

I missed out on afew dishes: Flour dumplings in soy bean broth, and sweet citron tea served at the end of the meal.

Strawberry cake for Dad, Korean style. Hope Dad enjoyed his 57th birthday which is a little bit different~~
