ah moon gave me a cute toothbrush holder in the shape of a girl as xmas present just a couple weeks back!

i finally took it out to use last wkend. but when i put my toothbrush into girl, i thought it just simply looks wrong lor.....

hmmm.

so the next day, i went to clarify with ah moon.

what an atas lunch

.

beefie bought us Forlino's set lunch for 2 @ bigdeals.sg! $26.8nett instead of $44.7nett! includes an appetiser, a main course, and coffee/tea!

we were greeted with a long and exquisitely decorated walkway to the restaurant from the ulu lift beside Butterfactory at One Fullerton.

hehe does my bag and cardigan look good on beefie's hands?? hurhur.

the reception area is actually a bar area, with a mafia theme.

the lamp behind me had its pole in the shape of a golden rifle. if u remember, famous local blogger xiaxue held her mafia-themed ROM here.

we were greeted with fantastic views once we entered the dining area, facing the Esplanade and Marina Bay Sands area.

Forlino's servers were very professional and hospitable, though there's no practice of having specific server waiting on specific tables, but the various servers there took turns to constantly make sure we were comfortable there.

once i sat down, i was given a stool to put my bag on. and when i was taking off my cardigan, a server actually offered to take my cardigan and helped me hang it behind my chair.

that is the "servers' work table" lor, truly servers of a different class hor? lols.

lunch started with amuse bouche - focaccia with ricotta flan, which is basically just atas bread and butter. hahaha. not too bad, the focaccia has the right degree of crispiness and the flan wasnt overly thick had even a tinge of truffle fragrance.

my potato leek appetiser soup, just the right savoury thickness.

beefie's octopus salad was a tad too fishy and the bitter rocket vegetable just didnt please my palate very much, unfortunately.

my main course was a fine piece of pan-fried garoupa, with just the right amount of moisture in the fish.

his was tasty pork cheek with just the right amount of fats, but he would be happier if they gave him more than just 3 slices of the meat. hahahaha. truly a fine dining place~~

after main course, the server asked if i want coffee/tea, and i thought it's separately charged and rejected the server politely. then the server said "oh it's included in the set." sibehhhhhh maluuuuuuuuuu. heartlanders will always be heartlanders. bleahhhhhhhhhh.

it was quite a good atas experience for us, but i must say that it kinda bursted my whole taitai fantasy when the receptionist at the door asked if we are there on the bigdeals promotion. bahhhhhhh. =_=

NYE was spent at wala w kljj and gang + beefie and gang!

kinda surprised we actually pulled off this last min thing, even kz and yljj went lor. hurhur.

ambience wasnt too bad, party hats and party poppers were given out and the band sang auld lang syne (wat else) right after the clock struck 12am.

my cam's batt went flat after awhile, so kljj used her iphone cam and somehow took tons of "candid" shots of me and yljj while kljj remained demure in almost all of them. =__=

tho beefie's gang was kinda weird and UPTIGHT tat nite, but we had a gd countdown! hahahha.

caught up w my runnies over dinner at PS Cafe on new year's day, and conveniently forgot to take photos w em wahahahas.

we shared an uber wrong-looking giant coffee eclair! lols.

dumbest day in 2010

today is the 1st time in my entire life that i travelled the whole city hall to jurong east mrt line, VIA WOODLANDS. ahhhhhh wtf.

i was juz gloating abt winning $30 frm gen in mj at gen's hse in bishan, while taking the red line train frm bishan to city hall intending to switch to green line to boon lay.

but i unwittingly took the red line train gg BACK to bishan, and ONLY realised it when the train's at YIO CHU KANG!! that's 10 fucking stops too late!! BAH.

and nw im only at bt gombak!!! WTFFFFFFFFFF. arghhh i cant believe hw dumb i am!!! knnnnnnnnnn.

so instead of taking juz mayb 1hr train ride hm, tink it's gonna take me 2hrs nw. epic dumbness!!! grrrrr.

hope ur year is gonna end better than mine!! bleahhhhh.

xmas 2010 in summary

it started with Ledger Control xmas dinner at Sukiya...

(by the way, both colleagues beside me are single, let me know if u're interested! guys only)

then on xmas eve, office was damn haps. employees can bring their kids to work, imagine how horrified i was with all my colleagues' kids running around me. -_-

and there's even a meet-the-santa session organised for the kids. tats my boss, by the way. this santa made 3 kids cry tat day. ahahahaha.

xmas eve was also beefie's bd! his momos reserved a table for him at The Pump Room.

..

and even bot an epic boobastic cake for him. -_-

so beefie decided to give his bfs a french each, out of sheer gratitude. LOLs i told u beefie's gay! AHAHAHAHA.

xmas day hotpot at dor's hse! contrary to the prev photo, my thigh looked thunderous here so i had to star it away. bleahhhh.

we also bot sparkling "wine" and a strawberry short xmas cake! hehe. it was fun hanging out w the girls!

boxing day was always ah gong's bd celeb. my kid cousins are all growing up so fast, i have problems recognising them!

on leave on mon! n brought beefie on an all-expense-paid day trip to JB to make up for his bd.

tadah! sibeh mismatched dressing, donno he wear so nice go JB city square for wat. ahahahahaha.

we din manage to do much things in JB tho, just went Nandos for a yummy but badly serviced lunch, watched merely-S$1-cheaper-than-sg movie Little Fockers, then it's time to go home.

i gave beefie his bd card n a little gift!

it's really not that difficult lor, donno why he took sooooo long to find them. PhD's brains realli work differently from normal ppl hor. ahehehehe.
