how to forget a guy

my emo friend is trying to get over a guy and told me what she found on the net, its really quite amusing imo:

• If you start to pretend that you don't care and that it doesn't bother you, eventually you really won't care and it really won't bother you. Live your life, invest in yourself.

ie. pray that self-fulling prophecy works

• Spend more time with your friends or family. The more you spend with them the easier it is to fill all the sadness in your heart and replace it with happiness.

ie. let your friends and family rub some emo-ness off u and u will be less emo.

• Think about the fact that you will find that one special guy later on in life. Sometimes, women/girls think that because their temporary crush doesn't want them, they will be forever alone. Move on!

ie. crawl back into fairytale land where unicorns exists and prince charming exists

• Be open to other guys, the easiest way of getting over somebody is expressing new feelings about somebody else.

ie. look for a rebound... and another rebound... and another rebound

• Every time you see him focus on something you don't like about him.

ie. bitch it out on him.. as if u r not bitchy enough already LOL

so, we went Sentosa wanting to cycle, but we forgot that the Colour Run was on and hence no bicycle rentals allowed the whole day. boo.

ended up walking around in RWS instead. passed by the Singapore Pools station and decided to go in and buy 4D. once we stepped in, the security uncle immediately stopped ME AND ONLY ME and asked if im above 21! WAHAHAHAHA damn shiok!

then as i walked further into the betting queue, ANOTHER security uncle asked if im above 21! LOLOLOL shiok max!

though its not very evident from this photo, but seems like my getup for the day worked in acting uber young! LOL.

sickest cards ever

the 1st time i played poker with my colleagues and i keep getting sick cards!

this is one of the more gross rounds, Flop was King 4 5 so i already have Trips on Flop. then a 5 came on the Turn, Full House! i won $21 this round (buy-in only $20) because a warrior had one pocket King and wanted to scare me off wahahaha super gross!

but this is the most gross....

i only have Trips on the 4th card, but then the 5th card was a 10 as well!! omg seriously how many times do u see a Four of A Kind! wahaha very hard for me to keep a poker face this round lols.

there are alot of other big wins, total winnings for the night is $68, that is 3 buy-ins! woohoo!

adventures of the geeky sisters

it started with lunch this Tues, where we coincidentally wore the exact same dress but in different colours and exact same shoes. and it didnt help that we already have the same hair and same glasses. LOL.

the twin sister i never had refused to take a picture with me on twin day though. boo no love!

then it was this long weekend eve dinner at this Thai restaurant in the middle of all the Thai disco clubs in sleazy Orchard Towers.

food is great, but the thing is Soot and I had to wait for my twin sister to knock off at 9pm, so by the time she arrived the sleaze activities had already started.

THEN SISTER AND I SAW THINGS WE WOULDNT WANT TO SEE. FOLs (plural version of FML lols).

Soot had to leave for mahjong, so it was just me and twinnie and we decided its too early to go home. so we walked round and round and round, trying to find an ice cream place to nua. but somehow every frigging ice cream place in Orchard was closed by 10pm.

we ended up with Wendy's 70c ice cream cone. what an adventure, sister! LOL *hearts*

Papa Chan vs The Lotus

bought this mini DIY paint by numbers thingy on qoo10.sg for my dad....

he chose #61 because Uncle Chan has a super soft spot for lotus haha.

i disguised this as a Father's Day gift wahaha, plus a movie and char kway teow treat.

so that was how it arrived in: mini canvas with the numbered outlines, numbered oil paint, brush and mini easel

really idiot-proof lah, just need to paint according to the colours.

this stayed pristine on his table for a month before one fateful Sat he decided to get his royal ass moving and finally got it done hahahaha.

and u know for Papa Chan to do a task, he must have all the good tools ready. so he went to buy a set of premium paint brushes $8 (when the whole set of DIY painting only costs $5). and i think he bought the fancy palette and an Ikea cup for soaking the brushes in. SERIOUSLY OVER! lols.

the painting is just an iPad Mini size, mind you.

TADAH! after one whole Saturday night of crouching over it! actually i thought the final product looks quite good but Papa Chan wasnt happy with it, cuz the paint wasnt thick enough. i told him to paint a 2nd layer on the whole thing and he flipped. HAHA.

i bought my own too! much bigger than lotus. already spent 20hours on it and still not even halfway done goshhhhh~ will post when finished!
