Q3 2015 Nails

Matching toe and finger nails for Boracay (yes I really do go overseas alot)!

These are my favorite this quarter, super patriotic SG50 National Day nails:

I am not fond of this:

Oh but the studs now are being stuck on much easier and stayed on much longer now, with the discovery of this in Taobao:

Its used to create a base for the stud to sit on, cure to secure the stud, then add more of this gel around the stud to further support it, cure again, then add normal top coat to seal and it will last for weeks! And its so cheap, Taobao is so wonderful! Haha.

Marble nails which I thought looked like crap but everyone says is nice hmm:

Q2 2015 Nails

Simple nails that I brought to Shanghai and they lasted a month woohoo!

Nails in Korea, I only had a 18hr layover in Singapore so this was quite rushed work:

This is my Q2 favorite:

This could have been better, I am not proud of them =/

My 31st birthday nails, those are supposed to be cupcakes but didnt turn out as cute as I wish:

Confetti birthday nails:

Nails for Penang, I was trying something else but turned out disastrous so changed to these last minute:

Q1 2015 nails

I went Bangkok with these nails:

Right hand started out like this, but some of the nails were very badly done (though not obvious from this photo):

I buey tahan so changed to this, including an attempt at marbling on the pinky nail:

Next up is a rustic motif themed nails:

It is quite impossible for my left hand to draw those motifs so a much simpler and less nice design is used instead:

Rocker style:

This is when I have not mastered the art of sticking studs on my nails and was using glue, it was totally messy and horrible.

I loved the chrome heart studs so much but it was so hard to remove cuz of the glue I used, and the little sphere studs fell out pretty fast too. =/

But this sticking skill improved tremendously next quarter! Stay tuned!

I Love Old Houses And I Do Not Lie

One of the old preserved house in Love Lane. Apparently rich men like to keep their mistresses here hence the name. Heh.

Random old shop along Love Lane too (i think). Even the uncle in the sexy pose fits into the picture lol.

Then we also went to the Penang Peranakan Museum, took a guided tour.

Tour guide said these are gold threads hand-sewn. What worksmanship omg. Then tour guide said cuz there were no ipads and iphones in the past, sewing is their pastime lol.

Descendants of the original owners of the house. According to Mr Tour Guide, all marriages were arranged, the kids have no say in their own marriages, but this girl got lucky cuz "she looks soso only but her groom is very handsome, looks like Leslie Cheung" LOL.

"These gold purses were the Louis Vuitton equivalent in the past." Wahaha buey tahans, Mr Tour Guide totally cracked me up throughout the tour.

After the tour, the friendly Marketing Manager offered to help us take a ton of lovely pictures:

This uncle is hilarious. Marketing Manager tried to smoke us, said he is the current owner of the Peranakan House, when actually this uncle is a tour guide who just happens to be chillaxing there. But he gamely just played along and took pic with us omg.

Door of Penang Peranakan Museum, with the Marketing Manager who us other recommendations as well. Beautiful place, super friendly staff, 5 stars!

Photo Addicts

Youngsters nowadays reeeeeally like to take pictures.

3 of them taking picture of the same landmark at the same angle.

2 of them taking selfies at the same spot, side by side.

Solo selfies are not enough, they had to take a welfie.

This lady took out her own tripod and used self-timer to take a picture of herself, when her friend is just right there and could have helped her take the same photo without tripod nor self-timer.

LOL.

Penang Durians!

Super crowded durian stall in Air Itam Food Market.

Should be obvious who is the biggest durian lover here, trying to haggle the price (but failed T_T)

We looked happy but actually the durian we got is no good, pretty expensive RM15/kg for a ive-never-heard-of 青something breed. boo.

Grass Grazing Part 2

They are starting to look all the same huh? Lol. I wonder if its really healthier cuz I dont seem to slim down alot from eating salads, and I already avoided the creamy sauces.

And actually ever since I came back from China I strangely lost all my love for salad hmm.

SGX Academy

Do you know that now SGX offers courses? Some are free, some are at subsidised prices.

I signed up for this one and attended it alone haha. Most of my other classmates are aunties and uncles though.

Firstly, was impressed by how nice and new the lounge area is:

So spacious too! The classrooms are at the end of the lounge, also new and nice.

Then I was impressed by the 1st hour of the free course, qualified instructors with quality content.

The last hour was basically the instructors trying to sell us their 4 days $2,000 course, and the aunties and uncles trying to get some stock tips from the instructors. But I might still sign up for more free classes if there are any that interests me.
