happy mid autumn!

me n yul went chinatown on wed to bask in e mid autumn festive mood!

it was quite cool lorz, almost like chinese new year, juz tat there's lesser crowd. we behaved like tourists lahz, took photos as if we've nv been to chinatown before. haha~

but we realli saw alotta angmohs there, sightseeing. tink angmohs dig all these cheena-ish things lorz, cuz they find e cheena stuffs exotic.


nice deco lehz, such delightful festive mood. mid autumn is my nx fav chinese festival, after chinese new yr of cuz.

there's oso tis performance show thingy there, exactly like chinese new yr. mostly to entertain e senior citizens lahz.

some interesting discovery..

we saw alotta ppl crowding around tat stall so we went over to kpo oso. tats called water caltop, 菱角. i've nv seen it b4 in my entire life man.

it's shaped like a bull's horns, veri veri hard shell. after tat my mum bought some frm e mkt n boiled it, tastes juz like chestnut lorz. but water caltop's shell is so much harder to peel, i gave up after juz one caltop. haha~

tats 三轮车馆, trishaw house (ting translated for me, she said 馆 is house). it was hiding behind e row of stalls. seems like e place to get trishaws, not sure tho.

some mid autumn festival neccesities..

年年有余花灯, year year got leftover flower lantern! hahaha~

tink e sporean lady was quite puzzled when i asked her to help us take tis photo, cuz we'r obviously locals but behaved like tourists. LoL~

pomelos! yum yum! wonder why we eat pomelos during mid autumn tho. hmmm.

yul's 猪笼饼, pig bacosts 50c oni. but not veri nice, too dry. i've eaten much nicer ones. e price speaks for quality huh.

how can we miss out on mooncakes??

big china mooncakes are super famous, evidenced frm e crowd. it's realli quite nice, my mum bought some.

im picky when it comes to mooncakes. i oni eat snow skin mooncakes, n e skin muz be green in colour. n there muz be 2 egg yolks inside, cuz 1 is too little n 4 is too much. told u im weird. haha~

n lastly..

mid autumn lanterns!~

wah i love lanterns, esp those with cute designs. when i was a kid every yr i'll buy a new lantern, n every yr my mum will take me to various shops until i found a lantern tat i realli like.

月圆人团圆, it's a gd time for reunion when e moon is round, hope everybody enjoyed their mid autumn!~ =)
