im on leave!~ part 2

chippy fish at Central

wah i frequent the Central realli often these 2 mths huh, but it's e 1st time i realised they have a basement floor. haha~

yul had a new haircut which looked exactly like mine...
pity i didnt put my fringe down tat day, else we'll both look like sister-dolls. haha~

anyways, e beer battered fish is pretty gd if consumed in moderation. after a certain tolerable threshold it's juz overly oily n flour-y. e cheesey sausage (e thing at e bottom right) is quite salty n oily.
bottom line is: dont visit chippy if u want healthy food. LoL~

half-priced margarita! frm opening till 9pm and 12am till closing!

it's such a popular place (mostly with e expats) tat i cant get a table after 7pm on a sat nite even tho i called 5 days b4! gosh~

we ordered blueberry & peach marg. yul doesnt like e blueberry, cuz it taste abit like medicine i guess. surprisingly, i've been okay with medicine-tasting drinks (ask e flowers abt Dr Pepper).

e free nachos & salsa was great, as usual. it's a waste tat all e oil n flour frm chippy took up too much space in our tummies.

us in sepia. mz, u shdnt have missed our company! n ur free drink frm me! aiyo. haha~

we oni paid like $15 in total. savvy? hoho~

mj at qian's lodge

since a long long time ago, qian nv had e chance to hu beautifully whenever she mahjongs at her own lodge. but tis day, gd luck finally struck her...
savvy!

tho nv hu full 5 tai, but e tiles are like how beautiful lorz!~

but in e end i still lost $3 lahz. bleahz~ time to do sth abt e fengshui in my lodge eh? haha~
EDITED: Ter n The Ryan juz kindly reminded me tat it's pong pong half colour plus 2 animal, so it shd be 5 tai full! argh!~ my money!~ -_-'''

national museum of singapore at stamford road

had lunch at Curry Flavour Stamford House b4 our heritage tour...

it's a jap curry rice restaurant. we ordered chicken stew n fish fry curry set lunches, not bad. e chicken stew reminded me of zen's delicious beef stew. 3 of us shared 2 sets n all of us were still quite full at e end, go figure~

i cant even rem e last time i set foot into e old national museum of sg lorz. it looks so much prettier now than b4 tho. like, e purrrrfect place for phototaking. hehe~

it's so hi-tech now u noe. they dont needa hire ppl to collect tickets anymore, u juz swipe e ticket (see bottom right above) at e gates b4 u can get in. n yes, we'r cheapos who still abuse our expired student cards. muahahaha~

oh, notice my nails? nice horz? hee~

e exhibits are realli much better than b4 e revamp too. they have electronic companions plus earphones thingy to guide u thru sg's history.

eg. at e william farquhar section, on e floor there's a "43" sticker. i punch 43 into e companion. section 43 of e companion starts talking abt william farquhar n e related exhibits in e section. e talk tends to be abit too long than i can bear tho.

some of e stuffs are still e same, like e singapore stone n e chinese secret societies. but e living gallery is new i tink.

there's themes like food, fashion, film n photography at e living gallery section. lijun kept claiming she smelled youtiao in e food section, when it wasnt even being featured. -_-

as for e fashion part, we saw e transformation of ladies' wear. some of e retro dresses are even fashionable now lorz. mayb i shd start storing some of my passe dresses. haha~
nth much in film, except for e HUGE old film projector. n e SUPER bling chinese opera costume.

photography is quite cool, get to see all e black n white photos. polygamy, chinese amahs, cross cultural marriages.

tis is like e must-have photo taken in national museum. haha~
alotta ppl visited e national museum recently wor. e nx popular place to go? hehe~

did they add a new block to e museum? cuz it seems much bigger than i rem. much nicer design on e inside too. e museum cafe is oso v pretty, nice seats nice tables nice feel. n nice pricetags (ie. v expensive). haha~

qian had an enriching day at e museum! n a very fulfilling 1.5wks of leave! cant wait for my nx holiday - TAIWAN!!~ hohoho~
