we took e Mekong Express Limousine Bus frm Phnom Penh to Siem Reap.

it's e best bus service provider in Cambodia, mostly doing mid-dist travel. phnom penh to siem reap, phnom penh to ho chi minh, etc.

abit disappointed tat e seats are not e SVIP kind (like Grassland Express) tho, it's juz e normal kind. alotta angmohs on e fully-packed bus with us.
realli is high class de lorz, they even gave us 'check-in slips' for our luggage. USD10 (SGD15) is pretty gd price for 'inflight' host + water + snacks + toilet huh.
crossing e Cambodian-Japanese Friendship Bridge. it's e most modern transportation structure i came across in Camb.
i dont even see such colossal piece of plain grassland when i was in china lorz. 'in e wilderness'~
tis is mostly wat i see throughout e 6hr bus ride: attap houses, narrow dirt roads, lotsa honking.
there's no decent expressway, n i dont rem seeing any public buses on their roads, definitely no trains. so u can guess e std of their infrastructure.
there's a whole buncha guys with signboards crowding outside e bus terminal in Siem Reap lorz, machiam like on strike lidat.
but they'r juz tuktuk touts lahz, waiting to prey on us tourists. bah~
n we were touted by e 1st tuktuk driver we saw, Mr Lim, who speaks e best english among all cambodians we've come across.

Angkor Star Hotel is juz 10min tuktuk ride away frm e bus terminal, looks gd on e outside.
is gd on e inside too! 3-star, of cuz better than e prev 2-star New York Hotel eh? heh~ey but both hotels have approx e same rates wor! SGD60+ per nite. hmmm~
our room even overlooks their swimming pool! but we nv had e chance to dip in their pool lahz.
after settling down, we took a USD6 (SGD9) 20min tuktuk ride to e boat deck. to our horror, entry to e Floating Village has doubled since Lonely Planet came!

frm USD10 to USD20 (SGD30) lorz! wth. i dont tink e 2hr Floating Village of Chong Khneas boat ride is worth freaking SGD30. cheat my $$!
but anyways, e village has got alotta infrastructure afloat, like schools n church.
and e village ppl mostly earn a living frm fishing in e Tonle Sap Lake.
tats e boatman n his adorable daughter (who din ask us for $, which makes her an unusual Camb kid).
e above shot looks kinda artistic, no? haha~
there's like a 30min stopover at tis floating fish farm/restaurant, where we saw crocodiles.
(by nw can u tell tat im realli not impressed by e floating village??)
throughout e boat ride, little sampans will near our boat n tried to sell us stuffs. seriously a tourist trap.
Mr Lim mite be richer than me lorz, his diamond ring is so huge! e Camb tuktuk driver who's richer than e Sg tourist.
these girls asked for money frm e angmoh who took a photo of em in those cute water basins. heng they nv saw me taking e same photo. haha~
sunset at Siem Reap~
if they'r extorting so much money frm e numerous tourists who paid USD20 to visit, why is their living condition still not improving?? heh~
dinner at Ly Ly Restaurant beside our hotel, a small eatery tat serves realli yummy cambodian beef noodle soup n chicken fried noodles at USD1 (SGD1.50) each!
night mkt 15min walk frm our hotel, abit like Suan Lum Night Bazaar in Bangkok.
more atas than Central Mkt n Russian Mkt. surprisingly low prices for a place tat looks like it's out to extort e alr highly extorted tourists.
